Today's Bliss

Let's talk energy drinks. I do not understand them. I would much rather have something fresh that tastes 10 times better and gives me more natural energy. For instance, today I was craving something sweet. The following is what came of the craving:

Yes a good 32 oz of pure fruit, fruit and more fruit. It was delicious and easy to make. Not to mention I don't feel bad after I finish a drink like this.

If anyone out there has a good recipe for smoothies let me know. I am searching for better smoothie ideas all the time.


  1. We call these Rainbow Smoothies. They are a hit with anyone who tries them!

    Rainbow Smoothies

    2-3 handfuls of baby spinach
    1 cup frozen peaches (if you can peel and freeze your own when they are in season…they are so much better!)
    1 cup frozen strawberries (same with the strawberries)
    1 - 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
    1/2 of a frozen banana
    Orange Juice (I use orange juice not from concentrate) or white grape juice
    1/2 cup plain yogurt

    Put spinach into bottom of blender and push down to make tight. Pour enough orange juice to cover top of spinach. Blend until spinach is in tiny little pieces. With blender running and cap on (take out cap insert), put frozen fruit in a little bit at a time until blended. If it gets too thick put more orange juice in until the smoothie is blending nicely. Put yogurt in and blend until all mixed. Serve cold.
