Snowed In

I know that this post is just a little bit more than late, but I did want to share something that happened over Thanksgiving.

Our original plan had been to travel to Saint George, UT to visit family. We were getting so excited to go, but the weather had other plans for us. We had stayed in Rexburg for a few extra days to get most of our homework done. Our original plan had been to come down on Wednesday, but on Monday we received quite the blizzard! Roads from Idaho Falls to the Montana border were closed, snow plows stopped trying to clear the roads because it was too dangerous, etc.

Needless to say, after a two day deliberation we decided that going to UT was just too dangerous. After holding up in our apartment for a day or two, we ventured out to the store, bought a ham, potatoes and stuffing, and made our own Thanksgiving feast. Although it was a very quite Thanksgiving and not at all what we had been expecting, it was still nice.

It was indeed a crazy Thanksgiving, but I was grateful that everyone got where they were going safely.
